Forest As School – Exhibition

Nathalie Lavoie and students from Sainte-Hélène school in Saint-Henri-de-Taillon, Langage Plus art centre, Alma, January to March 2020

This exhibition reflects the results of the creative workshops held during after-school and daycare periods with 45 young people, where they were able to experience a creative process that was both individual and collective, based on observation, exploration and reflection resulting from a careful look at the forest. On the one hand, each student received a notebook to write and draw their own perceptions of the forest, allowing them to position themselves as both artists and researchers. On the other hand, the workshops in the laboratory formula were based on creative drawing and modeling. The whole was built with the aim of bringing out a new nature.
