The Creative Field

Residency at the Solidar Boreal Bio-Food Platform, Chicoutimi, Saguenay, June–September 2025

During the summer, I led a series of creative workshops focused on interpersonal relationships, designed for specific target groups. At the same time, I sought the collaboration of people I interact with on the farm—including workshop participants, farmworkers, members of the permanent staff, and a friend—to experiment with various photographic approaches using them as subjects involved on-site. In addition, I took note of phrases I heard and photographed cultivated and wild flora, as well as the greenhouses and the landscape. Drawing on these multiple processes, I created a work consisting of five magenta-hued banners that capture the spirit of the place and its founders. This installation is displayed on a farm building during the public pick-your-own weekend.

This project received financial support from the City of Saguenay and the Quebec Ministry of Culture and Communications, as part of the Special Projects Support Program under the Cultural Development Agreement.
